Q: Will you tell anyone what I talk about?

Everything you tell us is safe and confidential, but if we feel you or someone else is at risk, we may need to share this with someone else. If this is the case, we will discuss it with you first.

Q: How long will I get support?

Therapy sessions are usually once a week for 8 weeks at the same time each week. Group sessions usually last between six and twelve weeks, depending on the type of support.

Q: When will my appointment be?

Most of our appointments are during the school day but we will do our best to offer you a time that suits you. We will give you details for your school so you can arrange the time off. Your school is likely to be supportive.

Q: What happens at my first appointment?

Your first appointment will be with one of our team. It might be at one of our centres or remotely through video call. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other find out how we can help you.

Q: What happens after I’ve contacted you?

If you’re a young person aged 14 to 18, you can fill in the form on this page. Once we receive your form, you will get a message to say it has been received. Next, you will hear about your first appointment. In the meantime, we encourage you to come to one of our drop-in sessions.

Q: Are drop-in sessions for girls or boys?

Our drop-in sessions are for both boys and girls. Everyone is welcome regardless of gender. However, we also have a group for girls on Mondays at the Venus Centre.
