All parents find it difficult sometimes, but for some people parenting is much harder. There are lots of reasons for this. It could be that you’re a single parent, struggle with anxiety or depression, have money worries, have experienced domestic abuse or have a child with a disability.
There are several ways we can help you when times are tough. We offer:
- daily and weekly drop-in sessions and activities;
- different types of therapy;
- courses to help you; and
- immediate support to avoid crisis.
Some of our activities are ‘open-access’, meaning you or your children can just turn up. For others, you will need to contact us first by filling in the form at the ‘Get Help or Support’ link below or have a referral from someone like a GP, school, or social services.
To read more about what we offer and how to get involved, please look at our What’s On page.
If you’d prefer, you could phone us or talk to us at one of our drop-in sessions.
If it’s an emergency, don’t wait.
If you’re helping a young person or child use our services, check out our Frequently Asked Questions, virtual tour of the Star Centre and contact details for helpful tips. These are for young people 14 to 18 but might be suitable for younger children too.
