4 x Children and Young People’s Psychological Training (CYP/PT) – Trainee Parenting Practitioner
Venus is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed professional to join our team as a CYPPT Trainee Parent Training Practitioner.
This 12-month trainee post offers the opportunity to gain a postgraduate qualification in evidence-based psychotherapies for children and young people and develop the essential skills required to practise as an evidence‑based Parent Training Practitioner.
Trainees will gain practical experience delivering parenting interventions, including group programmes and individual one-to-one coaching for parents/carers of children between the ages of 3-10. The role focuses on helping parents feel confident in managing their child’s behaviour and supporting their personal and social development. The course includes model‑specific supervision in Incredible Years, skills‑based workshops, and teaching on evidence‑based approaches that promote children’s emotional wellbeing and mental health.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to train as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Therapist.
This 12-month trainee CBT Therapist post will develop key skills required to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies, with successful candidates gaining a postgraduate qualification.
The course provides training in core clinical skills and theoretical knowledge with a specialist focus on cognitive and behavioural therapy interventions for internalising disorders in children and young people aged 8-18 years.

Children and Young People Psychological Therapies (CYPPT) – Trainee Practitioner – Parent-Infant Pathway – 1 post available.
Venus has an exciting opportunity for successful candidates to gain post graduate qualification in evidence-based psychotherapies for children and young people.
The Trainee Infant/Early Years Practitioner post will help develop key skills required to be an evidence-based practitioner working with parents and children (0-5 years), gaining accreditation in Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) to support parent-child attachment, addressing parental mental difficulties and wider systemic factors.
The course will provide model-specific supervision in VIG as well as teaching on both VIG skills-based workshops and evidence-based theory and literature relating to supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of 0-2s and their parents/carers.
